Samuel Luna Obituary

Samuel Edward (Sam) Luna (June 16, 1964 - April 25, 2024)

With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Samuel Edward (Sam) Luna, aged 59, on April 25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque. Born in San Jose, California, to Raymond and Sarah Luna, Sam was a shining example of selflessness, compassion, and resilience. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ray Luna.

Sam's legacy is defined by his boundless kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to his family and community. He was the rock that everyone admired, and his life was a testament to his devotion to others. His character can be summed up in a few words:
- Selfless: Sam's kindness knew no bounds, always putting others first.

- Compassionate: He showed empathy and understanding, making a lasting impact.
- Resilient: Despite incredible challenges, Sam persevered and inspired others.
- Inspirational: His legacy will continue to motivate and guide those who knew him.
-Unforgettable: Sam's memory will stay with us forever, a constant reminder of his love and impact.
As a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Sam raised five children and five grandchildren with unwavering love and dedication. He enjoyed music, working on cars, and the outdoors, he was a skilled painter, auto mechanic, cook, and caregiver.

His talents were matched only by his generosity, as evident in his volunteer work on the Navajo reservation, where he was recognized by the Navajo Nation Council for his selfless efforts. Today, the world lost an incredible man, but Sam's legacy of love and compassion will live on through his family and all those he touched. He leaves behind a legacy of love and family, including his wife, Cecille Luna; sons Keith, Kyle, and Sam; daughters Jewel, Eliza, and Samantha Luna; brothers Matt Luna, Jonathan Rose, and Fidel Luna; sisters Jennifer Reese, Kelly Rose and Ashley Rose; twenty-nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He now joins his sibling Ray, his beloved mother Sarah, his Stepdad Glenn Rose, and father Raymond in eternal rest.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Rest in peace, dear Sam. Your love and memory will never be forgotten.
