Miguel Griego

Miguel (Mike) C. Griego, age 91, a resident of Las Nutrias/Belen, and a member of Our Lady of Sorrow Parish in Las Nutrias; our beloved Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather drew his last physical breath on this earth on May 15, 2022. He simultaneously drew a new breath into the kingdom of heaven on that day.  For a man with such a small stature, he made the biggest impact in all our lives.  A birthday was never missed without a beautiful card and a few bucks.  Always a phone call to say hello and how are you doing. He never ended a day without praying for his family and friends.  We will always remember the big smile he would get when someone brought him a sweet treat! Miguel is preceded in death by his father, Salomon U. Griego; mother, Eluticia Cordova Griego; brother, Johnny Griego; and his son, Roy Griego. He is survived by his siblings, Paul (Helen) Griego; Salamon JR Greigo, George (Gloria) Griego, Joe Griego, and Anabelle (Andres) Benavidez;  sons, Elmo Griego & Betsy, Raymond and Diane Griego, Orlando and Valine Griego; Daughters, Adele and TJ Smith, Angela and Anthony Sena; Grandchildren, Regina (Janell), Maria (Jamie), Thomas, Justin, Nikolas, Analise, Brianna and Alicia; Great-Grandchildren, Antonio, Andrea, William, Isabella, James, Jesse, Caine, Cassidy, Reese, Henry and Kamden; his Bonus Grandchildren, Jacob and Kyle; Many Treasured Nephews, Nieces, Godchildren, Family and Friends. He Also leaves behind his special companion, Bandit! Services for Miguel will take place on May 24, 2022, at San Isidrio Parish.   A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am immediately followed by the Funeral Mass.  Burial will follow the Mass at the San Isidrio Cemetery adjacent to the church.  Serving as Pallbearer will be Miguel’s son, Raymond Griego. A reception will follow the burial at the Belen Eagle Park Recreation Center. Arrangements are being handled by the caring professionals at the Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel, 418 W.
