Lorance "Bubba" Ortega, age 21, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, January14, 2021, with his mom and dad by his side, after a brave fight with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He was a warrior and fought to the very end. Lorance loved to make everyone smile. He accomplished many amazing things in his life, including being the 2009 MDA Ambassador, Snow King at BMS and graduating with honors from Belen high School in 2017. He loved to watch movies and TV shows with his mom and dad and also loved video games, Marvel & DC and Star Wars. Lorance loved his stuffed animals and all of his collectibles. He also loved singing and telling jokes. He was a brave and amazing child who loved his entire family and was the whole world to his parents. He was a hero to so many and Lolo to his cousins. Even if he was in pain, he never complained, was always happy and lived each day like it was special.
Lorance was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, John and Mable Hans and his grandpa, Anthony Ortega. He is survived by his loving parents, Denise and Brian Ortega; grandparents, Florence Ortega, Shirley and Michael Pena and Bobby Perea and many aunties, uncles and cousins.
Special thanks to his nurse, Lisa and Hospice of New Mexico for the exceptional care provided to Lorance.
Services will be private.
