Leopoldo Jose Romero

Leopoldo J. Romero, III, age 36, a resident of Placitas, passed away on November 21, 2021. Leo's biggest hobby was spending time with his family. There is nothing that he enjoyed more than being with his kids. He was also really into training and working out to prepare for the police academy. He was the most determined person, anything he put his mind to he would accomplish. Anyone that knows Leo knows his life long dream of becoming a police officer. He loved helping people and loved guns a little more. He enjoyed watching movies and loved listening music. Leo was a Deputy with the Torrance County Sheriff's Office.

Leo is survived by his fiancee, Carla Perez; son, Leo Romero, IV; daughter, Cienna Gutierrez; mother, Angela Romero; brother, Julian Romero; sisters, Star Romero, Summer Romero, Sunshine Romero and Elexus Romero as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Romero, Jr.

All services will be held at the Noblin Funeral Service Belen, Chapel, 418 W. Reinken Ave. on Friday, December 3, beginning with a viewing at 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM.
