Jean (Eason) Rushing Woods

Jean Rushing Woods, age 90, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021. She was a member of Uptown Church in Albuquerque. Jean was a beautician for about 30 years, and at one time owned her own business. Some of her hobbies included oil painting and sewing. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie G. Woods; parents, Earnie Eason and Artie Mary Banks; 8 brothers, Cleon, Howard, Hub, Doyle, Boyd, Ray, Claude, Bunkie who passed away in infancy, and their wives; and 2 sisters, Lucille and Mamie and their husbands; and two grandchildren, Candace and Edwin Rushing. She is survived by her son, Ronnie Rushing and wife, Rebecca; grandchildren, Brandy Avery, Ronnie Rushing and wife, Katrina; 4 great-grandchildren, Brandon Avery, Lynda Avery, Kaelyn Rushing and Andilynn Rushing; and one great great-grandchild, Elly Avery; and 3 step-daughters, Sherry Covey, Debbie Gill, and Karen Crutchfield. Jean is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held at Terrace Grove Cemetery, on Tuesday, May 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Rushing and Brandon Avery.
