James Ricci Obituary

James C. Ricci (Chad) went home to be with the Lord Feb 25, 2026. There he rejoined his great parents, Ann and John Ricci, his sister Robyn, aunts and uncles and other family members he cherished. He left behind his wife of 36 years, Debbie, 3 sons James, David, and Larry, a daughter Wendy Martin, son-in-law Chris Martin, 2 grandchildren, Andrea and Cody, 4 great grandchildren, Abigail, Mason, Logan and Wyatt, a sister Lynn Griffith, 2 brothers, David and Johnny, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Chad was always serving people just as the Lord tells us to do and he loved doing it. He also served his entire country for 20 years in the Air Force then 15 years in program management for a government contractor. Over the years he served our Lord Jesus Christ through teaching adult Sunday School and home Bible classes, volunteer cooking for congregation, cleaning, and many other ways. Chad's favorite thing to do was cook. Next, he loved fishing and watching sports. He knew his football! He caught fish, cleaned them, and cooked them even in failing health and could barely make it to a fishing dock but he sat there until he caught what he wanted. He put them on ice until he could clean and freeze them the next day, then cook them later. He was a hard worker who balanced his energy to get things he wanted to do accomplished even cooking right up until his last days on earth. In his younger years he was a show-stopping clogger and even choreographed songs for cloggers. His legs and feet were quite the attention-grabbing movers then. He could do anything he set his mind to do such as the many things it takes to remodel homes. He always loved to read and finished off many books in his last days. His life celebration and burial at a national cemetery in honor of his military service will be held later. Chad will be deeply missed until his loved ones meet him again in heaven.
