Doris Jean (Grice) Medders

Doris Medders, born in New Smyrna, Florida to Oscar and Ida Grice on November 25, 1927, passed through the gates of Heaven on Sunday, December 4, 2022. She married Bill Medders in 1955 and together, they moved to Mountainair, New Mexico where they raised their family. Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Bill; and her son, Will Medders. Doris was a loving mother, a faithful wife, a a pillar of the community. She leaves behind her daughters, Gloria Giarusso and Mary Foster; as well as her son, Oscar Medders. She also leaves numerous grand-children, and great-grandchildren. “Well done my good and Faithful Servant.” Services for Doris will take place on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Mountainair. A visitation will take place at 9:45 am, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:45 am. Doris will then be laid to rest at the Mountainair Cemetery a reception will follow back at the church.
