Cipriano (Shorty) Anaya

Cipriano (Shorty) Anaya a resident of Valencia County since 1970, passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2021. He was born in Santa Fe, NM to Frank S. and Virginia A. Anaya and grew up in Galisteo and Stanley, NM. Shorty, was a well known diesel mechanic, welder and machinist in Valencia County.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Pauline V. Anaya; children, Louise Aragon (Manuel), Margaret Anaya (Larry), Eddie and Tony Anaya; grandchildren, Joey, Andrew, Gabriel (Mariah) Urtiaga, Julianna Gabaldon (Jacob), and Victoria Markland (Jaron); great-grandchildren Allie, Raylee, and Weston.

Services will be held at San Clemente Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. A viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m., rosary at 9:30 a.m. and mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at San Clemente Cemetery. Reception to follow at Noblin Funeral Service in Belen 418 W Reinken Ave, Belen, NM 87002.
