Carolina Merino (Merino) Barber

Carolina M. Barber age 94, a resident of Los Lunas, NM Meadow Lake, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. She was a member of Faith Family Church. She worked as a nurse's aide for many years, later receiving an LPN certificate. She worked for many nursing homes in Albuquerque. She worked for rent a granny in her 60's and also worked for medical pool up until retirement. After retirement she chose to work for about 3 more years as a care giver. All of her life she loved helping people. Carolina is preceded in death by her father, Jose A. Merino; mother, Rita T. Merino; sons, Porfy Arellano, Ben Arellano, Dan Arellano; sister, Jenny Bush; brother, Joe Merino and niece, Maggie. She is survived by her sons, Jim Arellano and wife, Martha, Sam Arellano and wife, Diana, Ben Arellano (deceased) and wife, Mary, Porfy Arellano (deceased) and ex-wife Millie; daughter, Lucy Arellano; grandchildren, Linda and husband, Sam, Nathaniel, Andrew, Sofia, Emery, Steve, Isaac, Monica, Brandon and wife, Ulisa, Christian, Davion, Nathan and wife Amanda, Adam, Orlando and wife, Lai, Eva; great-grandchildren, Zoe, Ander, Isaiah, Inessa, Micah, Ethan Sammy. She also leaves a brother, Roy Merino; nephews/nieces, Roy, Michael, Veronica and husband, Christopher Buitte, Joel and wife, Grace Zapata, Leonard and ex-wife,; Jennifer, Carl, Chris, Maggie (deceased) and her husband, Farrukh Nawab; grand- nephews/nieces, Lauren, Ashley, Christopher, Aaron, Noah, Sarah, Danyel, Giovanni, Faith, Adam, and Melcolm. Services were held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Christian Family Church in Belen. Interment took place at Terrace Grove Cemetery following the services. Arrangements were handled by the caring professionals at the Noblin Funeral Service Los Lunas Chapel, 2211-D Main St., (505) 866-9992. The pallbearers are as follows, Jimmie Arellano, Pat Garcia, Roger Blanco, Davion Jackson, Gerome (Jerry) Orona., Carlos Orona; honorary pallbearers are, Christopher Bush, Larry Sanchez, Carl Bush, Roy Michael Merino, Leonard Merino, and Joey Merino.
